Amanda Elizabeth Righetti has worked as an American actor since 1999. She became famous as Grace Van Pelt the special agent in CBS's police procedural The Mentalist. Righetti is a native of Utah who always wanted to perform. At the age of four, older, she started dancing. The year 1995 saw her first big screen appearance in the movie Love and Happiness. The actress made her debut on the smaller screen by appearing as a guest actor in CBS CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Righetti was 14 years old at the time she started her modeling career. The following year, she relocated to Los Angeles and continued to portray small yet significant parts until she was offered the role as the character Hailey Nichol in Foxs teen drama The O.C.. Righetti also had important roles in 2009's slasher movie Friday 13th. She also appeared in the 2009 action film Captain America: The First Avenger Foxs soap opera North Shore and the drama series Reunion. From 2008 to 2015 she played Grace Van Pelt in The Mentalist receiving praise from critics for her role. Righetti appeared as Madeline Kenner on USA Network's sci-fi drama Colony.
