Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani Peruvian Muay Thai fighter, mixed martial artist and currently competes with the UFC flyweight division. She is older than fellow UFC Fighter and Former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko started her combat sport career with a Muay Thai boxer. She debuted in the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko took the title and defeated Suzane Miller in the finals by a unanimity. Antonina kept her winning streak going by winning a silver and bronze medal in 2008 and 2007 respectively, and a gold medal in 2011 and the 2016 IFMA amateur Muay thai world champion. Antonia, who began her professional journey in 2003, was crowned in 2012 and 2016 the World Lion Fight Lightweight Champion. In 2016, the WMC World Championships were staged in 2016, and she won the 2016 IFMA Amateur Muay Thai World Champion. Antonina's final fight took place at the Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. The victory was achieved by an unanimous decision. Antonina Schevchenko kicked off her professional MMA professional career back in the year 2002 after an impressive win against Anara Baanova at the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan. She took the win in the second round by TKO and also won her subsequent 2-fights at WXF: X-Impact World Championships 2003. She compiled a record of 3-1. Shevchenko went on a hiatus from MMA in order to concentrate on her kickboxing and made her comeback against Anissa Haddaoui during Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko defeated Anissa by a unanimous vote as well as defeated Valerie Domergue at Phoenix FC 4. In 2018, she left the tournament and started competing in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko wrestled Jaimelene Nievera as part of Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. Antonina showed off her power of striking by tying Nievera with knees. Following this victory Antonina was given the chance to sign a UFC contract. Antonina Shychenko debuted in the UFC at the Heavy Hitters event of TUF finals against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modeafferi with a unanimous decision. She then fell in her second fight because of a split verdict. Antonina was able to bounce back from her loss, and won Lucie Prudilova in UFC on ESPN Covingtonvs. Lawler who was able to win the fight by rear naked choke submission. This was by far the most exciting fight of night for the fight. Shevchenko went 1-2 in her next 3-fights beating Ariane Lipski, and then falling to Katlyn Chookagian, and Andrea Lee. Then, Antonina fell to Casey O'Neill at UFC Fight Night Santos against. Walker via second-round TKO.
